Anomaly Information
Device: iPhone 4s and iPhone 5
iOS: 7.0.6, 7.1, 7.1.1, and 7.1.2
Description: Multiple messages are shown with a button to delete them in the messages or mail app.
Cause: Tapping “Done” while sliding on a message to bring up the menu.
Recreate By: Slide on a message in the messages or mail app to bring up the “Delete” menu (“More/Delete” in mail) but don’t lift your finger. Then hit “Done” in the upper left corner (upper right in mail). Then release and repeat on another message. You can bring up as many as you like. You can also do this in the notes app with the “Cancel” button.

Delete the Keyboard

iOS: 3.1.3, 7.0.4, 7.0.6, 7.1, 7.1.1, and 7.1.2
Description: The “Delete Note” menu is shown at the same time as the keyboard in the notes app.
Cause: Opening the the keyboard and the delete menu one after the other.
Recreate By: Compose a note and tap done. Then, in quick succession, tap the note to open the keyboard and then the trashcan to open the delete menu.

Sideways Control Center

iOS: 7.0.4, 7.0.6, 7.1.1, 7.1.2, 8.2
Description: Control center is shown coming in from the side of the screen.
Cause: Turning on orientation lock.
Recreate By: Open the notes app with orientation lock off and rotate your device to landscape mode. Open the control center and turn portrait orientation lock on. Then pull the control center part way down the screen.

The screen shots above are from the notes and messages apps, respectively, but this anomaly also exists in the mail app and others.

Half Distance Scroll Bar


Anomaly Information
Device: iPhone 4s
iOS: 7.0.4 and 7.0.6
Description: Scroll bar in the notes app is shown stopping at a point half way down the screen.
Cause: Ejecting a Bluetooth keyboard several times in quick succession.
Recreate By: Connect an Apple Bluetooth keyboard to your device (Settings>>Bluetooth) and open the notes app. Type out enough text that you have to scroll to see all of it with the Bluetooth keyboard. Then, push eject on the keyboard twice rapidly.

Hole in the Keyboard

Device: iPod Touch 2nd Generation
iOS: 4.2.1
Description: The text viewing bubble lets you see through the keyboard to the control buttons that are shown when keyboard is not displayed.
Cause: Dragging the viewing bubble down onto the keyboard.
Recreate By: Tap and hold on text in the notes app until the magnifying bubble appears. Drag it down onto the keyboard and wait a few seconds.
